A Trifecta Of Link Love

Friday are the WTF do I write days of blogging. Maybe it's because it's the end of the work week and everybody is itching for the weekend, but you rarely ever see a 'serious' post published on a Friday. Friday's in blog world are usually reserved for the lighthearted posts and the ample tweets of how many glasses of wine will be consumed in the coming hours.

Shit does NOT get real...but it gets weird...and a little fun...and because I like you ladies alot, I have brought the trifecta of link love to this blog today (and yesterday...Click Chicks...say what?!?).

What yellow brick road of blog fun will we start on first....
How about some linky love for Ms. Erin over at Living In Yellow who hosted a blog orgy of love with her blog crush link up yesterday? I missed the memo and forgot to get together a second post for this yesterday, but hell, better late than never....and people usually scan the top and the bottom so I'm actually putting myself in a better position today to share the love.

I'm not a playa, I just crush alot - Big Pun
you get it..rock? rocks? no? nevermind.

I follow alot of awesome ladies (like seriously, it's insane...) and to post everyone would take me forever, so I'm going to share a few of the awesomesauce ladies who inspire, make me pee my pants, or are just my bowl of mac and cheese.

My Bowl Of Mac & Cheese:
Err duh...it would be a dick move to not include Erin herself because this lady is my kind of people. She a upbeat, funny, wine swilling, picture taking, blogging beezie like myself. Of course she does the whole blogging thing wayyy better than I do (look at that massive following and for good reason) but the girl adores mac and cheese and that is a girl after my own heart.

Make Me Want To Move To TX & Have Slumber Parties:
Jenni and Shay are two Texans who make me want to pack my shit and move to Austin ASAP. Not only do these two gals have beautiful blogs, photography businesses, and furbabies but have you gotten a look at their hottie husbands Matthew and DDHP? Freakin power couples, I tell ya. They are awesome bloggers with incredible followings but unlike some big bloggers, these girls seems down to earth and really care to write back and send a quick email your way if you ever have any questions.
Plus I think both of them would do an amazing job french braiding my hair. :)

(p.s. practically 90% of the blog community is from TX so everyone is invited..haha)

We're Going To A Thrift Store & Are Going To Make Things Beautiful:
This is a three way tie for 3 blogs that I've just started following within the last year and these girls can take a flea market/vintage find and turn it into something gorgeous. I envy this talent, as I don't have a crafty/fashionable bone in my body...meet:
Maddie @ Thriftary

You Can't Catch Me I'm The Gingerbread Man:
Remember that rhyme?
Run. Run. As fast as you can....
Well this goes to all those beezies out there hitting the pavement and being a role model and inspiration to the rest of us. I should probably put down the mac and cheese and lace up the old sneaks but I live vicariously through Meg, Sam, Mrs. Type A, and Katie right now.

My Beezies Since The Beginning:
These girls and probably many others have traveled this blogging road with me and who I've read since jump....I puffy heart them and always will.
Smooches to Etta, Ashley, Laura, Kodi, Shannon, Brittany, and probably a huge batch more.

Thanks Erin for hosting this....what a great way to find new blogs.

Now onto some Friday Letter's to catch you up

Dear B, You have been so silly and affectionate this week and I am loving it. You know just what my heart needs. Dear Mia, You gave momma a scare last Sunday when I noticed you were having trouble going to the bathroom and later saw blood. A quick visit to the vet, some shots, antibiotics and snuggles and you're all better, just how I like it. Dear Haley, I am taking some newborn pictures of you tomorrow and I'm excited/nervous. Please don't pee on Aunt Ivy. Dear Spring, I think your on your way and with Daylight's Savings coming it makes it feel a little more real when it will stay lighter longer. Now if we can just work on rising those temps. Dear Arizona, Why don't you observe DST? Just curious. Dear Alcohol, After the shenanigans last week with the boys, I think I'll sit this weekend out. Dear Wine, You and I can still have a date. Dear Water Aerobics/Zumba, I'm coming for you next weekend....mama's going to get her bikini body back. Dear Carbs, I'll miss you. Haha...who am I kidding, we're still cool, just in moderation.

***
And last but not least, it's one of my favorite ladies and a girl who take the most funniest blog award here with her new linkup

#backthatazzup
Where we share the fine music samplings that will literally make us backdatazzup.
This week, instead of going the old school route, I'm tapping into Big Boi and the music that got me and B bumping to in the car.
Skip to about 1:42, that's when the music really starts.

'WE'RE RICH TRICK!!!'

Happy Friday Loves!!!

I Curse You Cable Company.

This is pretty much how I feel about our cable company at this point in time...

I want to jack them up just as much as my face is in these pictures.

Don't these a-holes know that I have a blog to run and comments to write.
It's like they don't care.
Jerks.

I've been stealing my sister's internet here and there to keep up on a few things and to schedule a couple posts but due to the storms even that avenue has become a little shotty. And I am not a happy camper.

It may seem silly, but I actually miss your faces and being able to interact with ya'll (oooh look at me getting all southern fancy) via your blogs and comments. And this shizz is supposed to continue till this Friday when they decide to mosey to our house and set up our cable and internet. I don't understand how a company can be so lackadaisical about their sole job. Meh.

So don't forget about me lovebugs.
Though I may not be there via comments these past two weeks, I am there in spirit and shall return with a vengeance next week.

Friday Letters

Dear New York, I miss you terribly. I am amazed each time I visit you because I know I will never run out of things to see. Big Man wants to hit you up, if only for your dining options. Dear Big Man, I miss you even more. Over the last 6 years, we've only been away from each other a handful of times and maybe it's our newly married-ness but I don't like it one bit. Dear Creepers, Don't even think about it. I have a ferocious pup , knife, and gun with your name on it. Please believe, I am not afraid to use it. Dear Twitter, I plan on raping you this weekend with all my lonely girl thoughts. Who wants to chat?  Dear Wine, Please come live with me this weekend. I hear my belly is quite the hot spot and would enjoy your company. Dear BlogHer, You rocked my socks off and I will be working on a follow up 'what I took from it' post. Dear Self, Stay with your safe channels this weekend as to not run into a scary movie commercial. You will shit yourself, I promise you. Dear Readers, Thanks for putting up with my wack-a-doodle posting and commenting lately. It's been a busy summer and I am trying my best to keep my head above water in the blog world  : ) P.S. Dear Readers, Don't forget to get your questions in so Big Man and I could answer them in our first VLOG!!!

Happy Weekend LoveFaces!!!

I Popped My BlogHer Cherry.

And it was just as fabulous as I hoped it would be!!!

My sister and I arrived in New York City on Friday afternoon and sadly didn't attend the first full conference day. What we missed of the conference we made up for in taking in the city, but that is a post for another day.

On Saturday morning we were up bright and early to shower and get ready to head over to the Hilton where the conference was being held. Since we booked our hotel kinda late we got bumped to their overflow rooms at the Sheraton, and I would completely recommend this hotel if you want to stay in the city. Not only was it  a gorgeous hotel, but it also was in the heart of everything. Only minutes from Times Square, Rockefeller Center (which we could see from our room), Central Park and Broadway.

We got an early start and made it to the Hilton in time to eat breakfast and got our badges and conference passes...
It was surreal seeing the conference floors fill up with women upon women (and a few scattered men) who were here to enjoy something that we all loved, blogging.

There were three main floors where alot of the conference events were being held, among all the sponsor suites scattered throughout the hotel. I was dense and didn't even realize about the suites until our day was practically done, boo.. me. : (

Since we only had one day to fit everything in, our day was jam packed and we could only take in a few of the sessions. The ones we chose though, were right up my alley and atleast for me, I took alot away from each of them. The first one we attended was the 'Erotica In The Open' panel...
Which was held by four bloggers who blog or write for sex columns or about their love life in their blogs.
For my more conservative readers this might be an 'ehh' but let me tell you not only were these ladies hilarious, but they also shared some profound and insightful things, that I know some of us bloggers could take from. I know I did.

After this panel, I also attended a 'Incorporating Graphics, Pictures & Iconography Into Your Blog'   session, A Blog Design Audit (she didn't get to mine in the sesh but I'm looking forward to hearing what she has to say in her email) and a session called BlogHer12: A Conversation which discussed the state of blogs now a days and where this panel thought blogs would be going. This one was pretty cool since it was also a type of Q&A session.

Sadly, those three sessions were the only three that I could fit in but there were some other bigger events going on, so we gathered into the grand ballroom....

And after chatting it up with some new blog friends (hello loves!!) and scarfing down our lunch, we were greeted by our Lunch Keynote Speaker...

Katie Couric
I'll be honest and say I really didn't know much about Katie, except for her stints on the Today Show and her brief run on the CBS news, neither of which that I really watched but after seeing her in person I am kinda smitten. She seemed really down to earth and shared some fun things like her new show (which will have seats for 2 bloggers for every taping), her home life with her kids, as well as her thoughts on the infamous Sarah Palin interview, which she admitted that she felt horrible for her as a person, but she felt it was necessary to know the answers to these questions if you are going to be the possible VP of the United States.

I'm looking forward to seeing what her new show titled simply Katie is all about.

Up next was a interview hosted by Soledad O'Brien with Christy Turlington Burns and Malaak Compton Rock (Chris Rock's wife) about their respective charities and how it is important for us as women and women with voices, to make a impact on the world and help for the greater good.
I think it is wonderful what these ladies are doing and it was amazing to hear the life changing moves they are making but if I'm being 100% honest, it was painful to watch Malaak speak. I'm not sure if she was just nervous or if she wasn't sure of the information she was providing but she slipped up alot and didn't seem like she was altogether with it. I give her props though, because I know I would be shitting bricks if I had to speak in front of 5000 other women.

After that, my sister and I decided to finish our conference day exploring the Expo halls, and let's be truthful, grabbing some swag....(some good....some eehhh...but whatevers free is for me...lol
Me and The Milkmen....
That would be my sister checking out the loot and myself in a vibrating bathtub....ooooh weeeeee.

And one of the more unexpected pieces of swag....
A Vibrator from the lovely folks at Trojan
And let's not kid ourselves, you know I grabbed one!  : )
And I also picked up something of the ring variety from Big Man at the Eden Fantasies stand...lol.

There was a fashion show later that night that was amazing and that you need to check out here. I think every woman felt empowered after they left that show, I know I was jacked up on estrogen after that... effin' GIRL POWER my friends!!

We then closed out our night with the Come As You Are party with cotton candy and Mouthy Tini's (pink lemonade cocktails) and some dancing, cocktails and McDonalds hat at the awesome CheeseburgHer party.
I was in rough shape the next morning but I'm so glad I got to experience this conference for myself.

Next year it heads to Chicago, and I'm contemplating making the trip.....will you be going?!?

Guess Where I'm Going...

...TOMORROW?!?!?

This place....

A squeal will not even sum up how excited I am to attend my first blogger conference, let alone for it to BlogHer.
Woooooo hoooooooo!!!

I thankfully had my sister agree to go with me so we are making somewhat of a girl's weekend out of.
I would have loved to attend the conference for both days but because of funds we will only be attending Saturdays events. That doesn't mean we won't be in the city though.

We plan on getting into the city Friday afternoon and spending the night exploring before we get our blog extravaganza on the next day. I am freaking pumped.....so pumped that I have 250 of these bad boys on deck to network with....
I am going guns ablazin' in hopes of meeting a bunch of new bloggers, making some new connections and learning how to better my blog and social media skills.

And to be in New York City to do so.....uhhh yes!!!

There is one sour note to this though...
I'll be missing my boober bear's (hubs) birthday on Friday and it is killing me. I have his blessing to go and he's excited for me but I've always loved to make a big deal out of his birthdays so it hurts my heart to be missing his big 2-6. : (
Boo.

But let's keep this lighthearted....I know a couple of you girls have been to blog conferences so I'm reaching out to you and asking for any tips or advice you may have.

Are any of you going to BlogHer 2012 tomorrow?!?
If you want meet up, email me or send me a DM on Twitter so we can link up.

I'll be back Monday hopefully with some fun things to share!  : )

This One's For You...

Gina, I'm talking to you mama.

A couple of days ago when a bunch of us ladies we're tweeting throughout the Olympic Opening Ceremonies, a conversation started between a group us regarding accents. Seeing all the different countries, sweet Gina chimed in that she would love to have an accent, to which I replied that I was jealous of my husbands Caribbean accent.

G being unaware of the this fact, respond back with this funny gem....
and for the record we are both happily married to our B's....haha

Anywho, I shared this hilariousness with Big Man and boy, I enjoyed seeing this black man blush : )
But guess what else I did?!?!
HAD HIM AGREE TO DO A VLOG!!!

***sqqquuuueeeeaaalllll***\

Yep, the hubster is onboard and ready to go on the video blog front and I will be making my debut as well.
Because I'm a greedy beeyotch though, I couldn't allow Big Man to make his debut via vlog on my blog before I did so we're going to tag team this shizzz..
And here's the catch....
You fine females get to ask us whatever your little hearts desire and we will give the answers to the best of our ability....and Big Man we'll even throw the accent for ya!

I'm warning you, that this will most likely be the HOTTEST MESS to rival hot messes but you asked for it.
So bring on the questions!!!

****
I'll take questions till next Monday and then we'll record it next week, so get them in quick. : )

Blog Star: Hi I'm Little Woman

When Mrs. Monologues said she was hosting a blog hop that promised glitter, rainbows, and unicorns (or atleast that's what I heard) I knew I had to hop on board my favorite beezies blog and see what kind of gals were coming to this party. Mrs. M is good people, to know her is to love her and if your here via her blog than I know you must have a soft spot for glitter and wine and to that I welcome you.

As far as introductions....
I'm Little Woman
And that creepster looking on behind me would be my fresh from the aisle (ok, 10 months ago) hubs who we lovingly refer to as Big Man.

We're newlyweds, sign...sealed...and delivered on August 27th, 2011 and that sight portrays a good portion of our relationship. Myself, acting a fool while he stands by with a good solid mix of shame, amusement, and horror.

Okay. Okay. Who am I kidding.....he's just as ridiculous as I am.
But that's why we're a good match.

This little blog right here is a mixture of our nonsense along with my love of wine, baking, blogging, our pup Mia, and the the craziness that is marriage and our home life. Sometimes it's funny, sometimes it's shitty, but I can assure you it's always adventure.

Take the good with the bad, amirite?!?

Right now we're gearing up for our honeymoon, in July, as well as our journey into the buying and moving in, into our first home in September. Lots of exciting things going on over here, let me tell you. I'd be tickled if you came along for the ride but I understand you have to check out the milk before you buy the cow (hmm...that doesn't sound right....) so I've helped you out and here's a quick little LWLH cheat sheet..

(and will judge you on your love of Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa or whatever you celebrate..it's a celebration bishes)

That is just a little peek but if you feel the urge to just click that pretty little follow button, I encourage it.
My severity of my hot mess-ness is what makes me awesome, you'll come to learn that  : )

XOXO,
LW

5.14.2012

Happy! Happy! Joy! Joy!

Why am I so happy you may ask?!?

Well m'dears because today is...

It may seem like a silly thing to celebrate but when I saw that my post numbers were creeping up in the 990's last week, I couldn't help but get excited that my little blog was hitting (atleast to me) a special milestone.

To me it means I've had atleast 1000 meaningful (most of time) things to share and that you ladies got to experience with me.

From what started as an organization and cleaning blog has thankfully developed into the lifestyle blog that it is today...and I couldn't be happier.

Though, I have a soft spot for organization and I am a wannabe domestic goddess, I am so glad that my blog evolved into a lifestyle blog where I started journal-ing and capturing the little moments of myself and Big Man's lives over the last almost 4 years.

This little piece of the interwebs has seen us through our first apartment, welcoming Mia into our family, the first years of our relationship, our second Florida move, spending time with Big Man's family, a fire, our engagement, our move to Pennsylvania, our wedding, our Pennsylvania home, new jobs, new goals and so much more.

These special moments in time for us will always be held here and to be honest, if not for this blog, I would probably forget all the little details that came along with this journey.

And now we're stepping in to a new state of Little Woman, Little Home and our family.

We're enjoying our first year of marriage, being newlyweds, going on our honeymoon, fun trips planned (New York for me, Vegas for husband) buying and remodeling our first home, and hopefully starting a family.
It is shaping up to be an exciting year over here and I'm glad I found this place to document it all.

It is also a perk to make connections and be part of such a broad and encouraging community.
You girls are like my free therapy, fashion gurus, home reno experts, and provider of all things mama and becoming mama related. You're a wealth of knowledge and support and whichever way my blog goes, I know I have a core group of blog besties.

Thank you for that.

Here's to a thousand more posts and countless more years!!!

LWLH Over The Years...

For those of you new to Little Woman. Little Home I thought I would take you through a tour of how LWLH evolved into this...
And what it is today.

I am finally happy with the way LWLH looks and I'm so glad I took it into my own hands to design it myself.
I might not have the skills of professional designers but after months of Googling and figuring out HTML's I am finally at a place where I feel comfortable changing things around as I see fit.

I think with blogging, it is important to have good aesthetics, because honestly that is what people see first. Great writing and good content is important for a blog but the first visual impression is what will make people stop and check it out and want to stay.

It's your blog and your choice to do what you choose with your design and layout but I can tell you from experience that dark backgrounds, cLuTtErEd SiDEbArs , and tiny pictures are a turn off for not only myself, but many bloggers.

When I first started my blog in 2008, this is what LWLH looked like....
When I first started I used the free blogger layout sites and they were def. a blessing.
I had a blog friend design my header and for a long time I was happy with this.
Back then, there wasn't as many fab blog designers out there that there is now, so my simple free pink chic  look made me happy.

After a while though, I decided to take the plunge and get a professionally designed blog...
This was designed by Adori Graphics, but when I tried to find her link, I couldn't access it.
Anyways, Louise the designer did a fabulous job and it was a whole custom design that I told her about and she brought to fruition. I loved that it had Big Man, Mia, and myself in cartoon form and captured what I wanted Little Woman, Little Home to be about.

It also started what I hope will be synonymous with LWLH, which is the pink house.
You'll notice that from here on out, any design I did (excluding the Christmas ones) I included a pink house in. I wanted something to be continuous no matter what I did with the blog and I hope that captures it.

I like to switch my designs up for the holiday season and since I'm an extreme lover of Christmas it is a no brainer...
This is the original design that I used from Louise for the past couple years

And this is the one I tweaked a bit last year for Christmas.

I enjoyed my pink cartoon design for the past couple years but with most things, change is good and I was itching to have a new more cleaned up and grown up look...
This was my first design that I ever tried to make by myself and let's just say it was trial and error.
I did like this design but after a week or two, I realized it was way too bright for my eyes and probably many readers. It did give me the creativity to see what I wanted and what I could change and make it into...

Two headers that I tried out with s different gray background....

and

After this last one...I changed it to what I am currently at now.

Who knows the next time, I will change it.
Today? Tomorrow? Next Month? Next Year?
Since I put effort into what I write, it's also important to me to put effort into the way it looks and to keep it current and evolving.

Do you like to like to change your blog design up???
And Laura, I already know you do ; )

Ultimate Blog Party

If you are anything like me, then you love finding new and fabulous blogs to read.
After a weekend of some blog organizing and finally clearing out some of the long and gone bloggers, I am on the prowl to find some awesome and inspiring blogs to read.

Is that you may ask?

Possibly.

After reading about this on the lovely Our Reflections blog, I am all in and putting myself out there too...

If you're looking to find new blogs or even just get yours out there, these link ups and this Ultimate Blog Party is the way to go about it. Just link up...share yourself and explore others (<---that sounds way more pervy than intended..lol)

Simple enough right...?

So let me introduce myself to some new followers of LWLH and anyone who is dropping by from the link up...

I'm Lil' Woman or LW (obviously not my real name..) and I blog here at Little Woman, Little Home.

That sexy man up there struggling not to drop his wife, that would be the hubs Big Man. A little fun fact to some of the longer readers...this was on outtake that Laura got from our engagement photos. It's silly and ridiculous and though it was an outtake, I completely adore it.

That's us and what LWLH is though.

This blog is a  hodgepodge of our life.
The funny, the ridiculous, the serious, the sad, the tribulations and the triumphs, in no particular order.

We just got married in August of 2011 so we are still in our newlywed stage, learning, loving and sometimes loathing (let's be honest...we love our hubs but sometimes we don't have to like them)  every minute of it.

I'm not only a lovah of him but also of cupcakes, wine, mac and cheese and dabbling my toes into this vast world of photography. I sweat my new DSLR and am looking for inspiration and advice wherever I can get it.  Seriously, help a chica out!!!

I'm not the best writer, photographer, blogger, wife or whatever you will classify me as but I am me and that's what matters and that's what I blog about. You'll either learn to love me or just stick around because I'm an entertaining hot mess.

Now take a gander around let's become bloggy bff's.

3.23.2012

Helllllooooo Wallll-Eeeeee...

Have you ever seen the movie Wall-E, where he is the sole little dumspter diver living in an abandoned and lonely world...??

No...?!?

That is what I feel like on Friday's around the blogosphere...
Fridays are by far the slowest days in the blogosphere.

If your a knowledgable blogger, you know that if you have an important announcement or a really good post you are working on, you don't publish it on a Friday. It's an unwritten rule somewhere, I think. :)

But really, you just don't.
Why?

Well because it is the end of the workweek and has Jessica Black excitedly explained 'Everbodies looking forward to the weekend....' No one really wants to sit on the computer on a Friday night and read blogs especially if you have some fun plans and even if you don't you stay away, just so you don't look like a lame.

I personally, since I don't have work on Fridays, use it as my catch up day where I lounge and catch up on what I missed throughout the week. But am I with company?

Nope.

Barely any comments ever come through on a Friday but Twitter is abuzz.
You might not have time for a fully thought out blog post, but 140 characters is where it's at.

There is no point to this post, other than it is a quiet world in blogland on Fridays.
Do you agree or disagree???

The One With A Cat Shanty

The faboosh J from An Unstyled Life tagged me in a fun little questionnaire and since it's been a while since I did one of these....why not?

In between questions I also want to show you all some of the more 'eclectic' views of my neighborhood, and oh my...the things you find when you take your dog for a walk.

Moving along to answer time...

J asks...
1. If you could have any career, what would it be?
I, along with about a thousand other bloggers would love to be able to get paid to blog. In a dream world, I would make my living writing blog posts about my ordinary life and sponsors and companies would come out of the wood work wanting to pay me for being awesome. Sadly, I possess no special skills that will make this dream any closer to becoming true....thougghhhhh...if each of you gave me $1...... :)

All kidding aside, yes I would love to get paid to do that but it's far fetched and this one also goes hand in hand with a million bloggers but I would like to become a photographer. I have a passion for it but I still need TONS more practice and a business mind set before I go off on that endeavor.

2. What's your idea of a perfect weekend?
Depends on the circumstances. Sometimes I like being smelly and lounging around in my pj's all weekend, while others, I like to be out on some silly adventure. My perfect weekend would be good food, beautiful weather, and fun times. Those are the ingredients to a perfect weekend.

We have a real life hoarder in our 'hood. You could have sworn nobody lived here but as we walked on by the side of the house you could see inside and WTF? I wish I would have gotten a better picture because this does not do it justice. Note...the sink and toilet amongst other things on the roof.

3. What is your favorite holiday, and why?
If you are a long time reader and don't know the answer to this question then I will honestly smack you in the face. It's CHRISTMAS of course. What is there not to like about it??? I love the baking, the commercials, decorating, the tree, family time, parties, I just love it all. :)

While on this subject...I completely judge new blogs by their love of Christmas. If I am just checking out your blog, I always back track to December and see if you festively celebrate as much as I do. I have no time for bah humbugs in my life and if you don't love Christmas, it's unlikely we could be good friends. And I'm not counting out Hanukkah or Kwanzaa....celebrate your holiday to the fullest peeps. :)

4. What is your favorite thing about the town you live in?
Ummm besides all the weirdos that live here (i.e. this post)....well it would have to be that it is fairly quiet and very kid friendly. Though there might be some strange here and there, there is always kids running around having fun and families out walking their dogs and such. It's nice.

I couldn't hold it back any longer, I wanted to wait till the end of the post but really.....It's a effin' CAT SHANTY!! Who does this? Who sets up a shanty like this for stray cats and just thinks nothing of it. And these cats are assholes...not nice Sheldon lovin' kitties, but teardrop underneath their eye, I'm gonna hiss and shank you kitties.

5. What did you want to be when you grew up?
Growing up I wanted to be a kindergarten teacher (in some ways I still do) but I also told my mom that I would be a teacher by day and a stripper by night. True story. Even as I child I loved getting my mom going. Luckily, that never played out and I didn't have to dance for dollars. I can drop it though, so don't get it twisted. :)

6. Who was your junior high crush?
I kid named J.J. but then he went off to juvey, we dated briefly in high school, and from what I hear he became quite the loser. Glad that didn't pan out.

7. What actress would play you if your life was made into a movie?
Zooey Deschanel
I have the biggest girl crush on her and on my super awkward days I like to think that because we have blue eyes and dark hair, that we look alike. This is verrrryyy untrue, but let my PMS self think that dammit.

This is what I'm assuming was a house that caught on fire and was gutted but not completely. Very creepy and take notice to the stairway of death...yikes.

8. Where is the one place you must visit before you die?
I would like to say Europe because I think that would be awesome but let's keep this US bound ans say Cali. I've already been to Hawaii and Florida and I would probably only go to Texas if I was meeting blogger friends. I think you should show me around Texas, J!!

9. Toilet Paper: over or under...plead your case.
Over.
Because it's the RIGHT way.
Period.

10. What's better, a quiet night in or a wild night out?
Both are fun but lately it has been more of the night in scene. Why go out and booze, when I have a bar in my basement?

11. What is the one thing you cannot go a day without?
I hate that this is my answer but it is the truth....cigarettes. Just typing it makes me want to go out and smoke one. I'm verrryyy much trying to give up this bad habit before our cruise but let me tell you...it's not easy man.

I had to type in what was actually written on these signs since you couldn't really see it when I uploaded it but ....yeah....strange, no? Mind you this was sitting in an alley and then the next day it was gone. Who does this???

And now it's time for me to ask you some questions....

1. What kind of camera do you have?
2. What would be your last meal if you were on Death Row?
3. What's your favorite band?
4. Rock, Paper. Scissor? and Why?
5. What kind of car do you drive?
6. Big House, Crappy Neighbors...Tiny House, Fab Neighbors?
7. Do you play any instruments?
8. Favorite musical movie?
9. NSync or Backstreet Boys?
10. Fall or Spring? Why?
11. Cat Shantys? Why?

I know a bunch of other girls already did this so I'll leave this open to whoever wants grabs on it.
Happy Hump Day.

Why I Don't...

Note:
This is not targeting anyone and anything in particular but is just a post explaining why I don't do these things. I participate and actually enjoy some but I'm just giving my view so please don't get you .com's in a bunch.
xoxo.

For a good couple weeks, this little +K was invading Twitter and the blogs.
I don't know if it is just me, but has this died down?
Anywho, even in the height of it...this was one bandwagon I couldn't hop on.
Why?
Because unless it's macaroni and cheese or Newports, I'm not really influential in shit. I get the whole concept of it, of being the best influence-r you can be and gaining prizes but I suck at making decisions and +K's in my little hands would go to waste, unless you want to be top dawg in Yoo-Hoo's and Jawbreakers.

These are a fan favorite and I'm not saying I don't participate in them but I just don't have the urge to host one. First, I am not that clever to come up with these funky ones and second, even if I was there is a thousand and one other ones out there to compete with.

There is a link up for everyday of the week and unless you have some prime blog space and your follower count rivals that of an iPhone release, yours is likely the red headed step child of link ups and do you really want that? I know it's not about the numbers but I personally would want a decent amount to actually continue it, link up....party of one?!?....no thanks.

Myself along with a dear bloggy friend did one of these not too long ago and though I loved it, I was a stressball behind the scenes. With trying to do something like this where there is guidelines, budgets, strangers, etc., you are bound to run into some problems and we did. Most of them got settled but I hate having that feeling that you are leaving someone down even if it's an issue you can't get resolved.

There is also one other problem...which I will go into more on the next one...

This goes hand in hand with swaps but I'm just going to throw this out on the table...
I SUCK AT SENDING STUFF!
There I said.
It's a sad pitiful truth but the truth it is.
Hell my darling and squishy heart love Honey can attest that she is still waiting on a Christmas card for moi. And my thank you cards from my wedding...been written out for months but still sit in a dark corner of my living room. I will host a giveaway from time to time, but just be forewarned that you may not get your gift in the same calendar year you won. ; )

I've tried....I've really tried.
I've added friends to my circle and have tried to mess with my profile but I just don't get it.
I'm not sure what else there is to say but I just don't understand the purpose of it. Sure it has this, that, these, and those but can it be anymore awkward to nativigate?
I don't get it....that's all.

This is not by choice but by my crappy cell phone provider who has yet to pick up an iPhone.
I terribly want to take vintage-y pictures with my cell phone and share them for all the Twit world to see but my broke down Samsung says otherwise.

Though the word on the street is (or atleast at SXSW) is that Instagram is bringing this fab service to us peasant Android users too...can I get a woot! woot!

***
I'm not saying that I will NEVER do these things or that I can't turn a new leaf and starting sending shit out on time but as of right now...these are the few things I cannot excel at. These may be some of the blogging goals I should work on this year but until then, you girls keep rocking the shizz out of them.

You're doing awesome.
: )
