First I want to thank all my friends and family who called to wish me a happy birthday along with all you beautiful ladies who tweeted and commented your well wishes.
Lurrrrveee you guys.
The biggest props though must go to the hubs who went well out of his way to treat and pamper his special lady for her birthday. For the past couple of weeks, I've been nagging him to tell me what we were doing for my birthday and luckily, Big Man has more willpower than me and was able to keep his cool and his secrets.
We go through this every year where I beg for hints but I was a little more curious this year as he said he had a whole day planned for us.
Our day began with hitting the open road...
We drove the back country roads and took in the sights as we headed to our stop.
I'm not sure it was Big Man's planned first stop but since I was the birthday girl, I made him stop at Heisler's so I could get a vanilla milkshake...
Deliciousness in my belly, my dears.
Nothing says spring like a trip to Heisler's to get milkshakes and to play mini golfing.
There was no mini golfing but birthday butt soaked up that milkshake.
After that impromptu stop we were on the road again headed south when we stopped for lunch at Subway.
I wanted to document our wholllleee day but Big Man drew the line at taking pictures of our mundane lunch.
If your sad that you are missing this part of the day then just close your eyes and envision a Italian Herbs and Cheese Meatball Sub, covered in the sweet red sauce, with a cheese choice of American sprinkled with light dusting of parmesan.
Yum, right?
W then headed to Big Man's first planned destination...
To get zeeee eyebrows waxed....goodbye catepillars...
And a sugar scrub pedicure at a little nail salon.
And that pedicure....ahhhhhhhh-mazing.
The last time I had a pedicure was for the wedding in August and my tootsies were screaming to be pampered. I may even be ashamed to admit that I was rocking the same purple polish from then too. I know....ick. To say these puppies needed attention, is a big understatement.
God bless, that tiny Asian man.
Following my mini spa day we continued on our journey.
I'm pretty sure Big Man wanted to end his life a few times with my renditions of some Adele karaoke so when the poor boy saw this, he breathed a huge sigh of relief.

And little did I know we were at our final destination.
We had fun talking and laughing on the car ride together but I was giddy with anticipation to see what we were doing. At first I thought we were going to the King of Prussia mall which would have been in a treat in itself, and we actually did walk around a bit, but my big birthday surprise was this...
To all you classy folk that live in the big cities this may not be a big deal but to me who lives in the more rural part of Pennsylvania, this was huge.
When we lived in Florida we had a Cheesecake Factory right down the street from our apartment that we would hit up on a monthly if not weekly basis, but now that we live in Pennsylvania our closest one is an hour and a half drive to King of Prussia down near Philly.
Big Man opted for the jerk shrimp with plantains and rice.
While I went with my trusty yet fatty chicken fettuccine alfredo
and washed it down with this yummy-ness
A Typhoon Punch.
Not sure what all was in it but I know it had lots of rum, pineapples, and orange juice....my favorite.
But let's not lollygag any longer and get to the real star of the birthday extravaganza...
A Chocolate Tuxedo Cream Cheesecake
as my birthday cake.
Yes and please.
Big Man knows me too well and just this cake alone would have been enough. I can't thank him enough for being such a loving and thoughtful husband.
But now you'll have to excuse me as I go make love to my
new chocolate lovah.
Honeymoon diet be damned.
