It's A Marshmallow World..

"In the winter,
When the snow comes to cover the ground,
It's the time for play, it's a whipped cream day,
I wait for it all year round."

"Those are marshmallow clouds being friendly,
In the arms of the evergreen trees,
And the sun is red like a pumpkin head,
It's shining so your nose won't freeze."
"It's a yum-yummy world made for sweethearts,
Take a walk with your favorite girl,
It's a sugar date, what if spring is late,
In winter, it's a marshmallow world."
"The world is your snowball, see how it grows,
That's how it goes, whenever it snows,
The world is your snowball just for a song,
Get out and roll it along."
"It's a yum-yummy world made for sweethearts,
Take a walk with your favourite girl,
It's a sugar date, what if spring is late,
In winter, it's a marshmallow world,
In winter, it's a marshmallow world,
In winter, it's a marshmallow world"

On Friday night after a long booze filled night of karaoke at our neighbors house, we walked outside to a winter wonderland of the snow falling and actually covering and sticking to the ground. We've had a few dusting here and there of the white stuff but nothing that ever stuck around that long.

It continued to flurry through Saturday which became a Christmas movie and wrapping day for me while the hubs ventured out into the bitter cold to continue his shopping. Nothing is better than being home in the warmth of your own home, watching a marathon of Christmas movies with not a care or a place to be in the world.

And today is shaping up to being equally as lazy.
The sun is shining and is slowly melting away the pretty dusting of snow but I am not complaining of either.  I'm good with getting some vitamin d or another snow shower. That's the magic of Christmas vacation.

This Little Woman does not have a care in the world.
Did you get snow?
Do you love it or loathe it?

Our Chill Saturday

And I mean CHILL in its temperature and relaxing terms.
It's a lazy yet productive Saturday here at the Little Home.

In between bumming it here...

I'm also getting some blog design work done, laundry washed, the house cleaned and home renovations projects completed. Big Man is working away in the garage getting our moldings and flooring finished so we can hopefully decorate for Christmas this weekend..

It's one of those days where it's cold, dreary, and sad looking out but that is kicking my butt into productive/organization mode on the inside.

I'm not a big fan of the winter months and the cold temps that keep us cooped up and push us to the brink of cabin fever but I do enjoy these days when there is nothing better to do then to sit in with your favorite Pandora station on and bust some bad boys off your to do list.

Because really, do you think I'm going out in my leggings, mismatched socks, and slippers combo?!?
I think not.

Less Patch...More Yard.

But a pumpkin patch to me none the less.

So if you have enjoyed the hundred other blogger pumpkin patch trips, then grab some cider and stay awhile.

Hope you are enjoying your last few bits of fall since it seems that winter is right on our heels.

Cheers to pumpkins and spotted pigs.

The City

Over the summer, most of you fine ladies knew that I ventured to the city to attend BlogHer '12 and I gave a pretty extensive review afterwards but since I'm obssessed with that place I thought I'd share a few last pictures of our trip.

And I'm going to lie, Ms. Whitney's recent jaunt there made me that much more jealous and made me want to relive it. Thanks homie.

What's your favorite pretty city?!?
I need some more places to visit and some fun faces to see. : )

All That Glitters Is Gold.

If there is one thing that I love about living in Pennsylvania that Florida never offered me, it would be the change of seasons and being able to witness nature's beauty at this time of the year.

I remember being at the beaches this time of year and if not that, then still rocking my flip flops with a very light sweater. But up here in Pennsylvania, things are very much different and this part for me atleast, is one of the best parts about living in this area.

The changing of the seasons along with the changing colors of the trees and landscapes.

You may beg to differ, but I just think it is gorgeous where I live and in the surrounding areas. Whenever this time of year comes around, I always think of the Family Guy episode where Peter and his family are complaining about all the out of townees that flock to Quahog to see the fall foliage.

So for all my Southern loves who may be late to the fall party and prettiness, I share with you the apples of our fall eyes....
I think of you English every time I come along this bench

Wait, Wait, Wait....I must interrupt this prettiness to show you something of a different and more adorable variety....
Can we just agree that this is on the next level of doggy adorableness?!?
I got this from the fine folks at the BlogHer Fashion Show where PetSmart gave out dog and kitty goodie bags and costumes. This is just one of her Halloween outfits, wait till you see her real costume....haha....you may pee yourself.

Anyways.....back to the fall fun....

I feel the need to mention there was also a wedding about to happen to the right of this picture...I couldn't imagine a prettier backdrop for their nuptials....though it was a tad chilly.

And to keep in true Southern fashion I bid you belles adieu with this...

Oh Look, There's A Gigantic Pig..

Is one of the many interesting things that you hear while walking around a local fairgrounds...

Besides taking in the sights of the fair, I would like to admit that I'm an avid people watcher and eavesdropper, and I am not ashamed to admit. Fairs, carnivals, etc. are prime real estate for taking in some of the more eccentric folks of your area.

Big Man and I hit up the fair last weekend as well as this past Friday to take in the sights and food. If you know anything about my husband, you know that he is a human garbage disposal and the fair tickles every taste bud of his. All of my organic, vegatarian, chemical free loving friends please shield your eyes and look away at this moment, because I am about to rape your vision with horrible goodness....
How do you go to a fair and not eat?!?!
Ummm...I know I can't.
Please believe there were no calorie counting those days.

I must say though, I did try to walk off some of those calories by walking the fair multiple times....
We might not be Southern, but we can go country just like the rest of ya'll! : )

Thank you fair, you were fun.
And Fall Bucket List....One down, BOOM!

Don't Go Chasing Waterfalls....

Or do...who am I to tell you?!?
Got beef, take it up with TLC.

I did in fact go chase some waterfalls though. And in the midst of our honeymoon recap posts, our trip to the a state park with  Big Man's coworkers was lost in the mix.

The last time I was at this park was when I was much younger and going through that awkward tween stage. Ick. I'll save your eyes from the horror of that sight, but I did want to dish and show you some pretties of that day...

 Beautiful right?!?

And here's the handsome hubs for an added bonus....

dhDJSP on Make A Gif, Animated Gifs
P.S. This was my first time making a .gif and I am totally in love, expect more of these in the future.

It was a beautiful day and I was so glad I got to meet some of the people that see my husband just as much if not more than I do. Hiking? Check. Waterfalls? Check. Good food, new friends and fun? Double check.

Do you have any hidden gems like this where you live?!?
Please share.
